Visual3D Tools Segment joint definition: joint center and radius
This video explains how to use the joint center and radius to help define basic segments in Visual3D.
Two pieces of information are necessary for defining each end of a segment in Visual3D. Any combination of lateral target, medial target, joint center, and radius can be used as long as you input two of them.
For instance, if it is not possible to define the lateral and medial targets, you can still define the segment using joint center and radius. (Note that if there is no marker at the joint center, you can use the estimated center of rotation.)
If you are using the radius along with a single target to define both ends of a segment, you will need to specify an extra target as well. This is covered in a separate tutorial.
