Visual3D Principles Keeping the end in mind
This video explores how a segment is defined in Visual3D so that you can properly place motion capture markers.
When setting up a project, it is important to know what you want to output from Visual3D before you collect motion capture data. For example, segment data is one of the most common types to process in Visual3D, and there are some principles to keep in mind when capturing segment motions.
Each segment has its own coordinate system which is ultimately defined by markers. All rotations and translations of a segment are tracked using motion capture data. Having a clear concept of how each axis can be defined in Visual3D allows you to make practical choices for marker placement.
