Visual3D Tools Pipeline parameter: Folder Path
This tutorial introduces a simple pipeline parameter for defining a folder and shows you how to reference that parameter in the File_Open command.
As you start developing your own pipelines, you will quickly realize the need to pass information from one part of the pipeline to another. This is where pipeline parameters come in. They allow you to store certain pieces of information to be accessed later on.
The folder parameter lets you choose the folder in which your files are stored when executing the pipeline. As long as you reference the folder parameter and specify the file names when setting up file commands, Visual3D will automatically access them without having to prompt you further.
Pipeline commands in this tutorial:
- Set_Pipeline_Parameter_To_Folder_Path
- File_Open
