Visual3D Tools Landmark definition: global
Previous videos in this series have shown how to define landmarks in Visual3D using 1 point, 2 points, 3 points, or even a whole segment. In this tutorial, we will show you how to define a landmark using only your lab’s global coordinate system for reference.
With this technique, a landmark is defined by specifying the X, Y, and Z offsets from your lab’s origin point. Using static coordinates to define a landmark can be useful for creating a virtual lab or tracking an object for which you know the absolute location. This video discusses the theory behind globally defined landmarks and shows an example of how to create the landmarks for a virtual lab.
