Visual3D Principles Basic segment tracking
This tutorial discusses the concepts behind definition markers, which are recorded in static trials, and tracking markers, which are tracked during dynamic trials.
In biomechanical motion capture, the definition markers are placed in specific locations to define a body segment. Additional markers placed solely for tracking, however, do not necessarily have any anatomical significance. This video goes into detail about the purpose of each marker category and how best to reduce the impact of skin movement artefact on your data.
